The fracking fluid is highly tolerant to salt content and has been cleared for use in waters with total dissolved solids (TDS) of over 1,00,000 ppm. Additionally, the fluid eliminates dependency on freshwater for offshore fracturing. The fluid can also be used with brackish water and in areas with limited fresh water.
